Chile Officials Warn Of A Volcanic Eruption




In santiago Chile the Hudson volcano has recently released 3 large columns of steam as well as ash which combined in a cloud reaching heights of 3 miles (5 kilometers)

high as of Friday, there could be a much larger eruption that makes many authorities in Chile and Argentina on high alert.


Many officials in Chile evacuated 119 people from around the area, other residents that live nearby are prepared to flee as melting snow as well as ice caused

the Aysen river to overflow the many banks.

The steam and ash which was coming from three craters, ranging from 650 feet - 1,600 feet, along with many quakes jolting the mountain, another major eruption

could happen within hours or even days, chile's national geoligy service mentioned.

At this moment a plume of ash has already spread 7.5 miles into the southeast, and towards Argentina.

The Hudson Volcano has erupted twice in the last 60 years, one of the more memorable events took place on August 1991.
